Week 15 marks a new phase in the Simpson trial. The state calls Greg Matheson, the LAPD’s forensic chemist and assistant lab director, the state’s first witness to tie Simpson to the murder scene through physical evidence. He testifies about the type of blood for the victims and that the blood droplet found leading away from the murder scene is consistent with Simpson’s blood type. Judge Ito also hears about the bloody knife recovered on Simpson’s property and the blood found on O.J.’s socks.
And another juror is dismissed because she just couldn’t take it anymore. Racial tension among the jurors is revisited as a 28-year-old Hispanic woman replaces Juror #7.
