Elijah McClain

Elijah McClain died after a traffic stop on Aug. 24, 2019, during which paramedics allegedly injected him with ketamine. One officer has been convicted in connection to his death, while two others were acquitted.


Jeremy Cooper, who was convicted of criminally negligent homicide for administering the sedative ultimately blamed for killing Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old Black massage therapist, is sentenced.
