MAYSVILLE, Colo. (AP) — Authorities are asking residents to preserve video footage from doorbells and security and wildlife cameras in case it might help in the search for a Colorado woman who disappeared after going for a bicycle ride.
Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze made the request on Sunday for video taken between May 8 and May 12. Investigators will contact residents in areas where they determine video could help in the search for Suzanne Morphew, 49, he said.
A neighbor reported Morphew, from the Maysville area, missing after she failed to return from a bike ride on May 10. The sheriff’s office has been searching for her with help from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
On Sunday, a dive team from the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office searched waterways for signs of Morphew.
Searchers looked for Morphew near U.S. Highway 50 at Monarch Pass on Friday after an item believed to belong to her was found.
