CLEVELAND (Court TV/Scripps News Cleveland) — A missing Ohio EMT and mother of two has been found safe, almost a week after she disappeared.
Cleveland police say Lachelle Jordan was found Thursday before midnight. In her 911 call, Jordan told dispatch she had been kidnapped. Her father, Joseph Jordan, confirmed to Scripps News Cleveland he was told the same thing.
“We’re all just happy,” said Joseph Jordan. He saw his daughter briefly and said she “looked to be okay, alert.”
Details on what transpired between her May 6 disappearance and the moment she was found haven’t been shared. A convenience store worker said an injured woman came into the store and asked for a phone to call police. Surveillance video shows a barefoot woman with torn clothes who is having some difficulty walking.
Before her disappearance, Jordan had complained about being stalked for months. She was supposed to attend a court hearing for Michael Stennett, an accused rapist, two days after she disappeared.
