BOULDER, Colo. (Court TV) — The house where 6-year-old JonBenét Patricia Ramsey was found dead is on the housing market for nearly $7 million.
The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom 1920’s Tudor estate was home to the Ramsey family until 1998, when it sold for $650K to a group of investors, according to Zillow.
In 2001, the home’s address was changed and a privacy fence was in installed. It was purchased by the current owners in 2004 for $1.05 million, reports The Denver Post.
Real estate company Sotheby’s International Realty describes the property as “7240 sq. ft. of elegant living areas.” It features a 1,141 sq. ft. penthouse primary suite and “spacious lower level.”
The listing does not mention the home’s notorious history. On the morning of Dec. 26, 1996, John Ramsey found the body of his daughter in the basement. The young beauty pageant contestant had been bludgeoned and strangled.
