MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. (Court TV) — Sexual assault charges have been dropped against Colby Ryan, the son of Lori Vallow.
According to court documents, a motion to dismiss without prejudice was filed Sept. 8.
Ryan, 26, was previously arrested Sept. 3 on two counts of domestic violence and sexual assault in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Court documents stated Ryan allegedly raped the woman on Aug. 31. He also reportedly admitted to it in a police interview.

Dismissal without prejudice allows for charges to be filed in the future.
Ryan is not allowed to initiate contact with the arresting officers or the alleged victim as part of the release conditions, according to documents.
Ryan is the eldest and only living child of Lori Vallow, the woman accused of murdering her two children in 2019. Vallow and her husband, Chad Daybell, are scheduled to go on trial in January 2023.
