PODCAST: It may come as a surprise to some, but the vast majority of violent crime in this country is not perpetrated by complete strangers. Instead, the victims knew their attacker – often intimately. That’s the inspiration for the Court TV Original production, “Someone They Knew,” which airs every Sunday night at 9pm on Court TV. Hosted by the Emmy award-winning journalist, Tamron Hall, “Someone They Knew” delves into the Court TV archives for the most compelling stories of betrayal. The show premiered with an episode called “Too Close to the Sun” — the story of Lance Herndon, an acclaimed successful Atlanta entrepreneur who was found brutally bludgeoned to death in his own bed. Who killed him? A business rival, family member or one of the many women the eligible bachelor was seeing at the time?
