HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, N.H. (Court TV) — A probable cause affidavit in the Harmony Montgomery case has been unsealed and obtained by Court TV.

Adam Montgomery, the father of missing and presumed dead Harmony, is charged in her death. He is scheduled to stand trial in November.
Authorities claim Adam killed 5-year-old Harmony in Dec. 2019. She wasn’t reported missing until Nov. 2021. In Aug. 2022, authorities said they believed she had been killed. They announced additional charges against Adam two months later. Investigators are still searching for her remains.
Earlier this month, Adam stood trial on charges of weapons theft. He was convicted of eight charges related to the 2019 thefts. Following the verdict, the Hillsborough Superior Court ordered the probable cause affidavit filed in Harmony’s case be unsealed 10 days later.

- The family then moved to a shelter, where Adam allegedly stored Harmony’s body in a ceiling vent.
- Detectives ultimately searched the area and located “staining” and “noted the area had a smell consistent with decomposition.”
- A criminalist matched “all nine identifiable impressions” from the area to Adam’s fingerprints.
