NV v. Murphy & Tabish (2000)
Former exotic dancer Sandy Murphy and her boyfriend Rick Tabish are accused of murdering casino owner Ted Binion. The couple allegedly forced heroin down Binion’s throat and watched him die. Two days later, Tabish was caught digging up $4 million in silver that Binion had buried in an underground vault. Defense attorneys argued the evidence was circumstantial; there were no witnesses. They also claimed that Binion asked Tabish, a business associate, to remove the silver as a favor.
